Photos show both sides of Jaws, full extension, simulated nail pulling, the name Samson, and an August 18th 1892 Patent date. I didn't even realize these existed and I've definitely never had one. Times have changed but this tool has remained. It will still function for you as good as it did 125 years ago. This is a very solid tool, It function by sliding the steel handle with downward force digging the jaws into the wood either side of the nail and pinching it.
The slide hammer is extended back up to the top and you lever the nail free from the wood with downward motion. When fully extended this tool measures 23 long.
The normal length is 17. Pretty sure this is the only nail puller like this currently for sale anywhere.
